There are fully funded scholarships are available to join the Japan youth conference. No IELTS is required. The youth summit empowers participants to form multicultural teams and develop practical projects tied to SDG 4, SDG 8, SDG 9, SDG 11, and SDG 13, while mentors and experts guide each team toward feasibility and impact. JYS 2026 will take place in Osaka from 11 to 14 May 2026 and features mentoring sessions, a social project competition, cultural immersion, awards, and professional documentation that will support participants’ future academic and career portfolios.

Japan Youth Summit 2026 [Osaka, 11-14 May] Global Call

The Japan Youth Summit (JYS) 2026 – Chapter 3 will take place from 11 to 14 May 2026 in the vibrant city of Osaka, Japan. Focused on the theme “Innovation Beyond Borders: Building the Future through Collaboration” under the global call #InnovateForTomorrow, the summit brings together young minds to explore ideas shaped by key SDGs, including Quality Education, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Innovation and Infrastructure, Sustainable Cities, and Climate Action. The highlight of the event is an Innovation and Technology Project Competition, where teams design and present solutions aligned with SDG priorities. Open to participants aged 15 to 40 from around the world, the summit welcomes youth of all backgrounds, with the requirement that those under 18 travel with a guardian for immigration and safety purposes.

Visa Support and Limitations

  1. YBB provides document support for visa applications (invitation letters, hotel booking confirmation, and guarantee letters where applicable) after required payments are completed.
  2. The organizer cannot guarantee visa approval because embassies make final decisions based on applicants’ travel history, bank statements, and home country rules.
  3. Applicants must apply for a Japan tourist visa (not business/conference visa) unless their embassy requires otherwise.

If you do not receive fully funded selection

  1. If you reach the interview stage and do not receive Fully Funded status, you may still participate as Self Funded without re-registering or paying another registration fee; simply complete program fee installments.
  2. If you are invited to interview but do not sign the Declaration Letter or fail to pay required installments, you cannot take the interview and must convert to Self Funded if you still wish to attend.

How to apply Middle East Youth Summit?

  1. Open japanyouthsummit.com on a laptop and use incognito/private browsing for best performance.
  2. Create an account using a personal (non-institutional) email such as Gmail or Yahoo.
  3. Log in and go to the Submission → Edit Submission page.
  4. Complete all form sections: personal details, professional profile, entry information, and miscellaneous (essay upload and theme/SDG selection if applying for Fully Funded).
  5. Review all fields carefully, save progress, and preview your submission.
  6. Proceed to the Payment tab and pay the registration fee to unlock the final Submit button.
  7. Wait for payment verification by admin; once payment status shows Success, return to Submission and click Submit to finalize your registration.
  8. Download your Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the dashboard when it becomes available in the scheduled LoA batch.

Important notes:

  1. You may edit your form after payment only if you have not clicked the final Submit button.
  2. Fully Funded applicants must complete social sharing (e.g., Twibbon) and other campaign assets as part of their application requirements.
  3. Self Funded applicants do not need to submit an essay or social sharing assets.

Letter of Acceptance (LoA) Meaning and Timing 

  1. The LoA confirms that your registration is valid, your payment verification succeeded, and your application is now recorded in the system.
  2. The LoA does not automatically guarantee Fully Funded award; Fully Funded candidates progress to essay review and interview stages after LoA issuance.
  3. Self Funded participants can use the LoA as supporting documentation for visa processing once required program fee payments are completed.

  3. Final Fully Funded announcement: 01–10 Apr 2026.
  4. Declaration Letter: Organizers send a Declaration Letter to invited interviewees who have not paid required installments; candidates must sign it to confirm interview scheduling.
  5. If you do not sign Declaration Letter: you forfeit the interview slot and can still join as Self Funded by completing program fee payment.
